SES is recognised by the DfE (Dept for Education) in England as a British School Overseas (BSO). In order to be accredited by BSO the school undertakes a BSO Inspection on a 3 year cycle. See BSO inspection reports on this page.
SES comes under the governmental framework of the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) via the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA). The school is inspected using the UAE Inspection Framework known as School Performance Review (SPR). SES is regarded as a Beacon school of best practice by SPEA. SES is a long standing member of the British School of the Middle East (BSME). This network of British schools provides ongoing support in a range of professional, student and administrative activity.
