GENERAL QUESTIONS

What are the school DAYS AND TIMINGS?

Sharjah English School follows a 4-day school week that runs from Monday to Thursday.

  • Foundation: 7:50 am - 1:50 pm (N/A for ECAs)
  • Primary: 7:50 am - 2:50 pm (ECAs: 2:30 pm - 3:40 pm)
  • Secondary: 7:40 am - 3:40 pm (ECAs: 3:40 pm - 4:30 pm)

*ECAs are optional extracurricular activities that happen after the regular school hours.

What is the dress code?

Who governs the school?
The Board of Governors of SES meets each month to oversee the strategic functioning of the school, operating under the Sharjah English School Constitution. In partnership with the Principal and Bursar, the Board addresses issues of policy and concern for staff and parents, manages the finances of the school and makes medium and long-term plans for the development of the school. What extracurricular activities are offered?
We offer a wide range of teacher-led extracurricular activities and clubs to all students, after school, Monday to Thursday. Students are expected to attend at least one school club every term. Many students also participate in inter-school sporting competitions after school.

SES school buses are operated by Combinestar Transport services which has had a 13-year partnership with SES. We cater to students aged 3 to 18, with classes running from Foundation through to A-level, following a broad, challenging, and balanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
